Franco Fagioli makes his Teatro alla Scala debut as Andronico from Handel’s ‘Tamerlano’



Franco Fagioli’s 2017/18 season gets off to a terrific start as he makes his debut in Milan’s famous Teatro alla Scala. Hot on the heels of major debuts with the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and the Opera national de Paris, Franco debuts at La Scala in the role of Andronico in Handel’s Tamerlano, under the direction of Diego Fasolis. Performances of Tamerlano will take place from 12 September to 4 October 2017. More information can be found here.

Franco then travels to Amsterdam where he makes yet another significant debut, this time in the title role of Cavalli’s Eliogabalo for the Dutch National Opera directed by Leonardo García Alarcón. Fellow AH artist Kristina Mkhitaryan will also appear as Eritea in this production. Performances of Eliogabalo will take place from 12 to 26 October 2017, and more information can be found here.
