Emanuel Ax returns to Europe for a series of concerts and recitals



Emanuel Ax is back in Europe this November, making this his third extended visit to the continent of the year. 
His time here is flanked by performances of Mozart’s concerto No 22 in E flat K482 with the Orchestre de Chamber de Lausanne conducted by Hugh Wolff, and the Royal Concertgebouworkest conducted by Semyon Bychkov, with concerts in Amsterdam, Vienna and Bratislava. 
The centrepiece of his trip is a recital tour with concerts in Baden-Baden, Lisbon, Liege, Madrid, Alicante and Zaragoza. His exquisite programme explores works by Schubert and Chopin, culminating in the latter’s third sonata masterpiece.

31 October & 1 November: concerts with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne
4 November: recital at Druckerei, Baden-Baden
6 November: recital at the Gulbenkian, Lisbon
8 November: recital at the Auditorio Nacional de Música, Madrid
9 November: recital at the Fundación Scherzo in Alicante
10 November: recital at the Auditorio de Zaragoza
13 November: recital at the Salle Philharmonique de Liège
16, 18, 19 & 20 November: concerts with the Royal Concertgebouworkest  in Amsterdam, Vienna and Bratislava
