Cristian Macelaru makes his debut with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony



Cristian Macelaru makes his debut with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra conducting two concerts this weekend. The first, on Friday 11 March, is at the Schlosstheater Fulda with Vilde Frang who will play Korngold’s Violin Concerto.
The second takes place at the Alte Oper, Frankfurt on Saturday 12 March and is part of an evening of concerts – “Die lange Nacht” – focusing on the connection between music and sport. The evening will see Cristian conduct three concerts which will feature John Williams’ ‘Olympic Fanfare and Theme’, Arthur Honneger’s ‘Rugby’ and Tan Dun’s ‘The Tears of Nature’ with Martin Grubinger. Vilde will also perform as part of the evening.
