Christopher Maltman makes role debuts in Lucia di Lammermoor, Les vêpres siciliennes & Arabella

Tonight, Christopher Maltman returns to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden (where he is a regular favourite) to make his role debut as Enrico in the opening night of Donizetti’s tragic masterpiece, Lucia di Lammermoor. Enrico will be his third new role this year; earlier this spring, he performed the title role of Wozzeck at the Netherlands Opera and Count Vitelozzo Tamare in Die Gezeichnetten at the Bayerische Staatsoper.

Later this autumn, Christopher will add another Verdi role to his repertoire, singing Guy de Montfort (Les vêpres siciliennes) at Oper Frankfurt. He then returns to the Wiener Staatsoper to make his debut as Mandryka (Arabella).
