Christiane Karg makes her Royal Opera House debut



This week German soprano Christiane Karg will make her house debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Christiane stars as Pamina in David McVicar’s production of Die Zauberflöte alongside colleagues: Toby Spence (Tamino), Markus Werba (Papageno), Nadezhda Karyazina (Second Lady) and James Platt (Second Man in Armour). 
We last saw Christiane on the UK opera stage at Glyndebourne Festival in 2014, Rupert Christiansen (The Telegraph) wrote that her “diamantine purity of tone and impeccable technique put her at the forefront of lyric sopranos”, 
Christiane’s debut will be on 28 February, with subsequent performances on 4 and 7 March 2015.
