Today saw the much-anticipated unveiling of the programme for this year’s BBC Proms, taking place from 15 July to 10 September 2016.

We’re delighted to be able to announce that 30 Askonas Holt artists are involved in 33 performances, including eight artist debuts:

  • Rosa Feola, who joins Le Cercle de l’Harmonie for their Proms debut (22 July)
  • Enrique Mazzola, who conducts ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’ with the London Philharmonic Orchestra (25 July)
  • Johannes Moser, who will perform Dutilleux’s ‘Tout un Monde Lontain’ with the BBC Philharmonic and Juanjo Mena (9 August)
  • Jonathan Cohen and his orchestra Arcangelo, who perform Shakespeare-inspired music at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse (13 August)
  • Rafael Payare, who will lead the Ulster Orchestra in Haydn, Tchaikovsky, and a new commission by Piers Hellawell (21 August)
  • Joseph Middleton, who joins Iestyn Davies and Carolyn Sampson for the closing Chamber Prom at Cadogan Hall (5 September)
  • Oliver Johnston, who joins Sakari Oramo and raft of young singers for The Last Night of the Proms (10 September)

In addition to the many Askonas Holt artists appearing at the festival, our Tours & Projects department is responsible for bringing some of the world’s great orchestras to the Royal Albert Hall:

  • Staatskapelle Dresden with conductor Christian Thielemann, who makes his BBC Proms debut (7 & 8 September)
