We are thrilled to announce the general management of Egyptian soprano, Fatma Said.

An alumna of the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler and the prestigious Accademia Teatro alla Scala, Fatma has quickly established a reputation as one of her generation’s most exciting and unique artists.

Fatma is a current BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist and this season will be returning to Teatro alla Scala and appearing in concerts at venues including Salzburg Mozarteum, Wiener Konzerthaus, and Konzerthaus Berlin.

Fatma maintains a strong connection with her native country, championing humanitarian causes and showcasing Egyptian classical repertoire to international audiences. She has twice been invited to perform at the United Nations in Geneva to promote dialogue and peace around the world through music. She has appeared at TEDxCairo and has been instrumental in various education initiatives for children and students, both at home and internationally, in relation to the Arab Spring.

In 2016, Fatma received an honorary award from Egypt’s National Council for Women and was singled out for one of Egypt’s highest accolades, becoming the first opera singer ever to be awarded the State’s Creativity Award for her outstanding artistic achievement on an international level.

Fatma will be managed at Askonas Holt by Jo Fry and Nathan Morrison.
