Askonas Holt are delighted to announce their representation of the distinguished French musician Nathalie Stutzmann, in her parallel careers as both conductor and contralto.

Nathalie Stutzmann conducts her orchestra Orfeo 55 at the Victoires award ceremony in Bordeaux today (Monday 25th February) where she is nominated for Artist of the Year.  She will sing Handel’s beautiful aria “Ombra mai fu” and will conduct fellow Askonas Holt artist, flautist Emmanuel Pahud and the renowned cellist Renaud Capucon in this TV spectacular reaching an audience of 3,000,000 people.  Her recent Deutsche Grammophon release “Une Cantate Imaginaire” with Orfeo 55 featuring Nathalie as both conductor and contralto has received universal praise.  Future conducting plans include Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore at Opera de Monte Carlo, her debut with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Handel’s Messiah with the Sao Paolo Symphony and an all-Mozart programme on a European tour with the acclaimed mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kozena and Orfeo 55.  Singing engagements include The Magic Flute with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmoniker and a new recording of Die Winterreise with Inger Soedergren for Deutsche Grammophon.
