Introduction

The young Russian soprano is fast becoming one of the most exciting coloratura sopranos of our age.

This season, her engagements include her US debut singing Carmina Burana with the Philadelphia Orchestra – a piece with which she will also debut at the Bucharest Radio Orchestra, her debut at Bayerische Staatsoper singing her staple role of Queen of the Night, which she will also reprise at the Liceu Barcelona, Teatro La Fenice, Teatro Regio Torino, Komische Oper Berlin and in Budapest. She will start the season singing Gilda at the Soirées Lyriques de Sanxay in France. She continues to be a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg.

Recent highlights include Die Zauberflöte at Wiener Staatsoper (new production), Opera de Paris, Edinburgh Festival, Opernhaus Mannheim, Teatro Regio di Torino, Festival d’Aix en Provence, Festival de Aix-en-Provence Komische Oper Berlin, Opera de Nice, Opera de Bordeaux and at the Vlaamse Opera in Ghent and Antwerp; as well as the Mariinsky Theatre.
