Lilit Grigoryan

“Lilit has abundant strength, determination, a clear and assertive musical language.”
Maria João Pires

Born in 1985 in Yerevan, Armenia, Lilit Grigoryan began studying piano at the age of seven with Arkuhi Harutyunyan. She was an ‘Artist in residence’ at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth under the direction of Maria João Pires, after having graduated from Komitas Yerevan State Conservatory and Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock with first class honors. She has also worked with orchestras including Sinfonia Varsovia, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liege and Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to her activities as a soloist, Lilit is also a devoted chamber musician and she regularly collaborates with artists including Maria João Pires, Alexandra Conunova, Andrei Ionita, William Hagen, Sarah Christian, Hiyoli Togawa as well as others. Laureate of several international competitions, Lilit has been awarded the Culture Prize of the President of Armenia.
