Heidemarie Klabacher, Der Standard, 17 August 2016

“But for the Paris audience the vocal revelation of the performance was the young French tenor Benjamin Bernheim in the role of Flamand, who is precisely what Richard Strauss imagined: not only wonderful on stage but also possessing a rich voice which promises even more for the future.”

Alain Duault, Opera Online, 20 January 2016

“we are even more overwhelmed by the Composer of the tenor Benjamin Bernheim. He performance was an auditory delight, imbued with youthful charm… the beautiful timbre, the elegance of his diction, the touching sincerity of his performance are all completely in sympathy with the role. It was also his debut at the Opéra de Paris…a revelation! Of particular note was the exquisite beauty of the blend of the voices in the Trio following the Composer’s sonnet…one of the highlights of the evening; spine-tingling.”

“Tebaldo (Benjamin Bernheim), who loves Giulietta and is promised her as husband, took command of the stage with a volume that startled the whole Zurich house, and his strong physique was perfect for the role.”
Sarah Batschelet, Bachtrack, 22 June 2015

“Bernheim has a wonderfully clear, ringing tenor … His Act I aria, “Si: M’Abbreccia,” where he expresses his love for Giulietta, was marked by especially lovely phrasing, nuanced rhythms and subtle dynamic shadings.”
Rick Perdian, Seen and Heard International, 9 July 2015

“French tenor Benjamin Bernheim was a revelation as Tebaldo. Dramatically, he managed to be convincing both as war-mongering alpha male and as sensitive lover. His vocal emission was flawless and pure, ranging from delicate pianissimo to heroic fortissimo as required. This was an astonishing performance.”
Martin Wheeler, Opera News, September 2015
