Andrey Zhilikhovsky makes his house debut at Glyndebourne this week as Malatesta in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale.
A revival of Mariame Clément’s 2013 production, the piece toured two years later. Mariame discussed the thoughts behind her creation. Glyndebourne describe it as “ … [a] colourful production, inspired by Les liaisons dangereuses, [it] is set in the opera’s original 18th-century milieu, echoing the elegance of Donizetti’s music.”
