Alina Ibragimova begins tour of Australia and New Zealand

Alina Ibragimova has just landed for a month-long tour of Australia and New Zealand where she will perform Bartok’s Violin Concerto No. 2 and Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 1.

“Humour, magic and sonorous beauty.
The breath taking inventiveness and sonorous beauty of Bartók’s Violin Concerto No.2 make it the perfect showpiece for both the orchestra and soloist Alina Ibragimova. Rachmaninoff’s glamorous Symphonic Dances completes the program.”
Sydney Symphony Orchestra

Highlights of the tour include performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under the baton of newly signed Askonas Holt conductor James Gaffigan, Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 2 with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Jakob Hrůša, and Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Nicholas Carter. Alina will also join the Tazmania Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Artistic Director, Marco Letonja.
