Rosa Feola took Cardiff by storm on Friday 11 September, with the opening night of Bellini’s I Puritani, with the Welsh National Opera. Starring as the desperate heroine ‘Elvira’, Rosa stole the show with her gripping stage presence, superb colotura and excellent portrayal.
Described as ‘exceptional’ (The Stage), critics have hailed her singing as ‘Warm and easy in her top register, she phrases sensitively, shaping the line into expressive meaning and colouring words with imagination’ (The Telegraph), going on to declare ‘There is blazing star potential here…’ (The Telegraph).
Not to be missed, tickets are available for Rosa’s final few performances on 19 September and 4, 13, 20 October 2015. This new production shows a combination of love, war and insanity brought to life on stage by director Annilese Miskimmon, teamed with period costumes.
