BBC Concert Orchestra

Askonas Holt organised the last two tours to Japan for the BBC Concert Orchestra, in both 2000 and 2002 under their Principal Conductor Barry Wordsworth. The 2000 tour was a major undertaking of over three weeks where the orchestra gave concerts throughout the whole of Japan, from Sapporo to Nagasaki, culminating in Christmas concerts in Tokyo televised by NHK.
